Sonia Wang


Sonia is originally from Chantilly, Virginia where she graduated from Chantilly High School in 2011. During her senior year, she was named captain, led her team to the Virginia AAA state semifinals, earned first team all-district honors, second team all-region honors, and finished her senior year as the 45th leading All-Met (The Washington Post) goal scorer in the D.C. metropolitan area. After graduating, Sonia attended the University of Virginia where she played club lacrosse and helped lead the team her first year to their first regional championship and nationals bid. Aside from coaching with Lakeshore, Sonia is the Assistant Coach at Walter Payton High School and an Assistant Coach for the CPS summer league. Outside of lacrosse, Sonia co-owns an ecological economic consulting firm that primarily works with conservation organizations.
