Indoor Leagues & Clinics

Lakeshore’s indoor leagues and clinics are designed to prepare players over the winter, helping them improve and focus on particular skills for their upcoming spring season.

There is an indoor program for every skill level.  Players in 3rd-12th grades can participate in one or any combination of the following programs:

  • Skills, Drills & Scrimmage

SKILLS & DRILLS

Skills & Drills is perfect fit new and experienced players.  With a focus on building fundamental skills and implementing them in to drills and game like situations, Skills & Drills caters to players of all levels.   Players in Skills & Drills are divided into small groups based on age and experience.   Additional Skills & Drills details include:

  • 60 minutes skills and drills
  • High quality coaching in small groups
  • Offered at: Northbrook

SKILLS, DRILLS & SCRIMMAGE

Skills, Drills & Scrimmage is a perfect fit for players looking to put skill development into action with live game play.  This program combines the 60 minutes of Skills & Drills, and includes an additional 30 minutes devoted to scrimmaging to reinforce rules, positioning and game strategy with on-field coaching.  Players in Skills & Drills are divided into small groups based on age and experience for the Skills & Drills portion and will then play together for the full field 30 minute scrimmage.   Additional Skills, Drills & Scrimmage details include:

  • 60 minutes skills and drills
  • 30 minutes full field scrimmaging
  • High quality coaching in small groups
  • Offered at: Westmont, Highland Park, Libertyville

GAMES

Games are designed for the player with 1+ year experience who is looking for game play. Teams are divided based on teammate requests and school attending, perfect for high school teammates.  Additional Game details include:

  • 15 minute pre-game warm up focused on fine tuning stick skills
  • 2- 20 minutes halves with 5 minute halftime
  • Sideline coaching from experienced coaches
  • USL Certified officials
  • Offered at: Westmont, Darien/McCook, Highland Park, Libertyville

COACHES AND UMPIRES

Each program has highly qualified coaches. Program coaches conduct the drills and coach scrimmages.  League coaches provide instruction from the sideline during games.  Each member of our staff has coaching and playing experience, and many of our coaches are active players with Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club and are Certified US Lacrosse Officials.

EQUIPMENT

Mandatory girls’ lacrosse equipment includes a mouth guard, stick and goggles. Stick and goggles are available for rent.  All players must have their own mouth guard, including new players.  Please note, we offer goalie equipment for session rental for a small fee.
