CarolLynn Ellison - Carollynn grew up in the Philadelphia area playing lacrosse. She moved to Chicago with her family in 1999 and has been involved in Illinois lacrosse ever since. She is a national rated official and officiates NCAA throughout the country. Carollynn has 7 beautiful children and is thrilled to be working with Lakeshore Lacrosse.
Lynn Merrill - Lynn grew up in Chicago and starting playing lacrosse at Loyola Academy. She continued playing at the University of Illinois. Her senior year she was elected club president and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Spanish and International Studies. She currently directs the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association, teaches elementary school Spanish, coaches at Northside College Prep High School, plays on Lakeshore's Adult Team and is a US Lacrosse certified official. firstname.lastname@example.org
Michelle Sebastian - Michelle picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time in 1993, during her freshmen year at Vanderbilt University. On their second year as a club, Michelle became the leading scorer on the team. Vanderbilt turned Division I varsity in 1995. In that year, she not only made the team amid a group of scholarship players and recruits, but was a starter in the midfield. In her senior year, Vanderbilt played an even tougher schedule against schools like Maryland, UNC, and Duke and maintained a 10-6 record. Michelle tied for 5th in scoring that year and won the Commodore Award for the best attitude and hustle. Coach Sebastian was the head coach at Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, IL from 2006-2009. During her tenure the team ended up 3rd, 1st, 3rd, and 3rd in State, respectively. She is the only female to achieve this honor in Illinois. She is now a head coach at Montini Catholic and looking to build a new dynasty. Coach Sebastian is a founding member of IGLA, which promotes girls youth lacrosse in the Chicagoland area (www.iglax.org). Bobbie Sagan, Team Gear Director - Bobbie first started playing lacrosse in 1999 at Glenbook South High School. Her senior year, Bobbie was MVP, 2nd team All-State and a Senior All-Star. Bobbie attended college at Western Michigan University where she graduated with a degree in communications and Spanish. During those years she was captain as well as leading scorer. In 2006 she was named WCLL All-League player. Bobbie has also been a US Lacrosse Certified Official since 2003. Aside from coaching year round for Lakeshore and high schools in the area, Bobbie is a captain of Lakeshore's Adult Women's team and continues to spread her love of the game as much as possible.
Coaches for Lakeshore Lacrosse
Meghan Brady - Meghan was a Varsity starter for 4 years at St. Charles High School. She is the Illinois State record holder for goals scored in a single regular season. Meghan's lacrosse resume includes Travel Team play as a member of Midwest Elite and Northwestern Wildcat Elite as well as Tournament play for Lakeshore Lacrosse, Mass Elite and the National Tournament team. Meghan was introduced to the sport when her sister Allison became one of the founding members of the St. Charles Team. She was recruited to play Lacrosse for Robert Morris University in Chicago. She also plans to become a certified referee this year and is very excited about the opportunity to Coach with Lakeshore.
Jamie Carlson - Jamie grew up in Glen Cove, New York where she was a 5 year varsity letter winner for Glen Cove High School under coach Jackie Gow. She was captain her senior year as the starting goalie for the Big Red earning two time All- County and Academic All-America honors. While also participating in tennis and track, she earned the superintendants cup and the Lola Schmitz Berg Female athlete of the year. In 2007 she was recruited to play Division 1 lacrosse at Stony Brook University on a partial scholarship for 4 years. She graduated in May of 2011 with a bachelors degree in health science and sociology earning deans list honors, three years on the America East Honor roll, and an undergraduate recognition award. In the summers of 2010 and 2011 she enjoyed coaching goalies and a young team for the Long Island Yellow Jackets travel lacrosse program. Currently she is attending Rush University in Chicago for her masters in Nursing.
Molly Dubiel - Molly is from Cleveland, OH and started playing lacrosse her freshman year of high school. She played both varsity lacrosse and field hockey for 4 years. During her senior year she received a scholarship to play lacrosse at Le Moyne College, a DI school in Syracuse, NY. Molly was a part of the MAAC championship team in 2003, which led to an invite in the NCAA tournament. Her team made it again to the MAAC playoffs in 2004. While playing at Le Moyne she coached every summer for the Ohio Premier traveling team. This past season she was the head varsity lacrosse coach at Magnificat high school in Rocky River, OH. Molly recently moved back to Chicago and is currently a teacher on the south side of Chicago. She is excited to bring her coaching experience to the area.
Kara Feemster - Kara grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI and started playing lacrosse in 9th grade. Kara was recruited to play both lacrosse and field hockey at Denison University in Ohio. From there she went on to serve as the assistant varsity coach at her alma mater, University Liggettt High School. She has been coaching lacrosse at all levels for the past 7 years. Kara loves lacrosse and excited to be starting her third season with Lakeshore.
Alyssa Fullerton- Alyssa started playing lacrosse in 2004. She played as an attacker and midfielder for four years at Palatine Fremd High School. During Alyssa's senior year, she was the team's leading scorer and was named a US Lacrosse Academic All-American. Alyssa has been an active member of Lakeshore Lacrosse playing in the Select Program for two seasons and three seasons Lakeshore Travel. Alyssa has continued her involvement with Lakeshore by joining the coaching staff in 2009. Alyssa is currently plays midfield on the club lacrosse team of the University of Illinois where she is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
Mike Fullerton - Mike attended Bowling Green University in Ohio where he learned the game of lacrosse. Mike is currently the Director of the Fremd Feeder Girls Basketball program where he has coached girls in grades 5-8 for the last 10 years. He has been a part of the IGLA program in lake Zurich for the past 4 years. Mike helped coach the Lake Zurich HS JV Lax team Spring 2010 and is the head coach of the innagural Girls Lacrosse program at Hoffman Estates High School. In addition to holding a Level 1 Coaching certificate from USLacrosse, Mike also holds an ASEP certification through the IHSA which allows him to coach at the high school level. Mike’s goal is to help grow the sport of Lacrosse in the NW suburbs.
Lynn Gerbec - Lynn grew up in Chicago and started playing lacrosse as a Sophomore at Northside College Prep High School. She continued playing Division III lacrosse at Oberlin College where she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. Lynn is the JV coach at Northside College Prep High School and plays with the Lakeshore Women's Adult Team. In addition, she is a certified US Lacrosse Official. Lynn recently obtained her Masters in Education and is looking forward to teaching for the Chicago Public Schools.
Katie Gotaas Hanson - Katie grew up north of Chicago and went to New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois where she played on the State Championship lacrosse team in 2000 and 2001. She then attended Wheaton College where she played on the women's lacrosse club team and captained three of those years, taking the team to the WCLL playoff tournament her senior year. After graduating from college, Katie has stayed very involved with lacrosse in the Chicagoland area – coaching for Lakeshore's high school programs, playing with the Lakeshore Women's Lacrosse Club, and promoting lacrosse throughout the region. She is also a Board Member of the Illinois Chapter of US Lacrosse.
Megan Holton - Megan grew up in New Jersey and started playing lacrosse in junior high. She graduated from Columbia High School where she played both varsity field hockey and lacrosse. She continued to play both sports at Plymouth State University (NH). As a member of the lacrosse team, Megan won 3 NEWLA championships, 4 undefeated conference seasons, appeared in 2 NCAA tournaments, 1 ECAC tournament and earned defensive player of the year in 2001. As a member of the field hockey team, Megan won 2 LEC championships and appeared in 2 NCAA tournaments. Megan ran the Maplewood Girls Lacrosse club (3rd through 8th grade) in New Jersey for 6 years until she moved to Illinois last summer due to her husband’s job transfer. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and skills with Lakeshore!
Sarah Jonathan -Sarah began playing lacrosse during her sophomore year of high school in her hometown of Clayton, CA. She feel in love with the sport and continued to play lacrosse along with basketball throughout her career at Clayton Valley High School. As captain of the varsity lacrosse team her senior year, she helped lead the Lady Eagles to a successful and competitive season. Currently attending Lake Forest College, Sarah helped establish the women's club lacrosse team and lead the team to a 10-2 inaugural season as a co-captain. Sarah coaches with both the IGLA and Lakeshore Lacrosse organizations. Sarah greatly enjoys working with the youth laxers, passing on her love of lacrosse to others.
Alex McLaughlin - Coach Alex McLaughlin grew up in Minnesota playing sports. She fell in love with lacrosse the first time she picked up a stick in 9th grade and started varsity for three in high school. In 2005, Alex played on Minnesota’s National team at the Women’s Division National Tournament. In 2006 Alex received All-Conference and All-State honors. Alex received a DII lacrosse scholarship for Notre Dame College in Ohio, where she played for a season. She transferred to DePaul University where she studied psychology. During her time at DePaul she was captain of the team and competed in the WCLL playoffs twice. After graduation, Alex continued playing lacrosse with the Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club. Currently, she is working as a childcare provider while pursuing a career in Social Work. In the meantime, she has become a certified official as well as an Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association coach for the 7/8th A team. Alex is impressed with the rapid growth of lacrosse in the Midwest and is excited to stay involved as a coach with Lakeshore!

Shannon Sullivan - Shannon played for 4 years at Loyola Academy and was co-captain her senior year, playing both midfield and attack positions. She was a member of the 2003 and 2005 IHSWLA State Championship teams. From there she went on to play Division I for Villanova University and completed her studies with degrees in accounting and finance. During her summer abroad, Shannon had the opportunity to play with the Dublin Women’s Lacrosse Team. While in Pennsylvania, Shannon coached the middle school Saints Lacrosse Team and was also a referee. Now, back in Chicago, Shannon is very excited to be a part of Lakeshore Lacrosse again!
