Lakeshore at Indiana University- 3/31
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in March, Lakeshore headed down to Bloomington, IN for a pair of games and to support an important cause. Lakeshore took the field against the host, Indiana University, for their first game of the afternoon. Despite a quick and fit IU team, Lakeshore cruised to a comfortable lead early on, and maintained that lead throughout the game until the final whistle.
With a short break to refuel and strategize, Lakeshore took the field for game two against the club program from St. Louis University. With exhaustion setting in after a long, hot day, Lakeshore maintained composure and dominance to finish the day with a 2-0 record.
Each team participating in the tournament sported light blue ribbons provided by Indiana. The tournament was dedicated to IU student Lauren Spierer, who disappeared on June 3, 2011. (www.findlauren.com)
